It’s a busy world we live in. Have you noticed how much time you spend planning and rushing to accomplish necessary tasks? Did you notice if you felt well rested when you woke up this morning? Did you notice the early morning light as you looked out of the window? …..or was it ‘full steam ahead’ with your day with your mind dominated with tasks to do? Do you find yourself going over past events in your head...again and again? How does this make you feel? Just as the body needs to rest, so does the mind. Mental exhaustion, burnout, anxiety and stress can manifest from the constant demands and pace of life. I am so guilty of it myself. I am always telling my clients to take time just to be and appreciate the time, which is now….or life will pass us by in a blink.Of course we need to plan ahead, that’s how life is, but have you noticed just how much time we spend in our heads, planning what next…..what about now?Mindfulness is the practice of purposefully focusing your attention on the present moment; without judgement. In our workshop next Saturday, Susie will teach you some mindfulness practices through mindful movement, Yoga and meditation to help find calm within ourselves and access peace when our lifestyle becomes overwhelming and stressful.The workshop concludes with a Soundbath with Xanthe. Some of us find it difficult to meditate. The mind is constantly busy. Just listening and focusing on the sound and the vibrational quality of the sounds, brings a deep sense of calm and relaxation.
