The Lotus Mission is to help everyone in our community achieve total health and wellbeing.

We do this by bringing together brilliant teachers in Yoga, Pilates and expert practitioners in Ayurveda and Massage therapy. 

Lotus Studio is a welcoming and supportive environment. We design our classes, workshops and therapies to help you feel physically and emotionally well and become the best version of yourself.

We take an Ayurvedic approach to health and wellbeing, with an emphasis on prevention and maintaining health. We understand that the mind and body are intrinsically linked and the key to health is maintaining balance in your lifestyle.

I remember day 1 of my Ayurvedic training. Listening to my teacher (and Ayurvedic Doctor) I was a little baffled when she was describing signs and symptoms of imbalance. Emotional imbalance which can affect how we view and treat ourselves and others around us. .Physical imbalance which can manifest from poor digestive function…..I felt that she was describing me. How could this be the case if I had never met her before that day? .Put simply, when the doshas become imbalanced, we see an imbalance in the elements of fire, water, air, ether and earth. .Here’s a typical example I see a lot. An imbalance in Pitta dosha results in too much heat in the body and mind. We might experience acid reflux, inflammation in the skin, joints or digestive system. Emotionally we might be angry, judgemental and dissatisfied. .Ayurveda teaches us to restore balance by adding the opposing qualities….basically cooling things down. Cooling foods and activities. Diet and lifestyle is the first line of treatment in Ayurvedic Therapy. Although originating in India, Ayurveda does not conform to any culture. It teaches us to live in harmony with the environment in which we live. .Clare (that’s me) is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Massage Therapist at Lotus Studio.
