More than a class

Lotus has grown through the people who walk through our doors.

Some of our members have been with us for many years. Others, like you, are just beginning. What brings everyone together is a desire to move well, learn more and make time for themselves.

We’re proud to have created a studio where people feel comfortable, supported and part of something local.Your teacher gets to know you. You become familiar with the people around you. And over time, the studio becomes more than somewhere you come for a class, It becomes part of your week.

If you would like to speak to us before booking a class, you can contact us using the link below

Please refer to the individual Pilates and Yoga pages to read about the classes and decide which class is good for you. Please select a class appropriate for your level. Level 1 – Level 4.

L1 classes are our foundation classes.

A great place to start if you are new to Pilates and Yoga, are returning after a break, recovering from an injury, or would like to try something new. They are suitable for beginners of all ages.

L2 classes are our ‘open level’.

We would expect you to have previous Pilates and Yoga experience to attend these classes.

L3-L4 classes are our Intermediate and Advanced classes.

We expect regular participation at the studio to progress to these classes.

We get to know all our members and encourage progression through our class levels as your experience develops.

Good health depends on prana, the life force energy, which permeates our bodies and all living objects in the universe. Stress, poor diet and strong emotions can bring prana into a state of imbalance. Massage can balance and normalise the flow of prana.

When we think of pelvic floor health we generally think of postnatal women, and of course pregnancy can stretch and weaken the pelvic floor muscle, but maintaining functional strength in the pelvic floor is essential to everyone. The Pilates method, practiced regularly will help maintain/regain strength in the pelvic floor. Some of us need a little more focused work, so we have created a short pelvic floor video to do at home, which you can find and purchase via the Media Library section of the Bsport app.If you are participating in our upcoming 5-week Post-Natal Pilates course, you will receive the video as part of the course materials. There are still a couple of spaces available for the next course, so if you’re looking to re-connect with your body post-partum this course is specifically designed to help you regain strength and support in the abdominal muscles and pelvic floor.5-week Post Natal Pilates Course - starts 10.30am Wednesday 23rd SeptemberBook via the Bsport app or the link in our bio ➡️#PostNatalPilates #PostNatalExercise #PostNatalEastLondon ...
