The Lotus community – more than a class

Lotus has grown through the people who walk through our doors.

Some of our members have been with us for many years. Others, like you, are just beginning. What brings everyone together is a desire to move well, learn more and make time for themselves.

We’re proud to have created a studio where people feel comfortable, supported and part of something local.Your teacher gets to know you. You become familiar with the people around you. And over time, the studio becomes more than somewhere you come for a class, It becomes part of your week.

If you would like to speak to us before booking a class, you can contact us using the link below

Please refer to the individual Pilates and Yoga pages to read about the classes and decide which class is good for you. Please select a class appropriate for your level. Level 1 – Level 4.

Following a bad ankle sprain one of our clients avoided coming back to class thinking they wouldn’t be able to practice. The opposite is actually true…If you suffer a limb injury, your practice can form part of your rehabilitation. In fact, I often see people recovering from an injury that are performing the exercises with greater control, concentration, precision and most importantly moving from their centre. The added awareness means their focus on the principles of Pilates is greater. Your practice also identifies the imbalances that occur post injury. Taking the strain off the injured side and overloading the stronger side can lead to further injury. When you continue with your practice, we continue to teach you the method with consideration to the injury, adapting the exercise and working with other pieces of apparatus. Always be sure to mention any injuries to your teacher and let us help adapt the class to your needs. #Pilates #HighamsPark #PilatesEastLondon ...
